Coupons, Anyone?! Discount

I like using coupons to save money. I'm guessing most of you do as well. Our local stores are not set up with the iPhone Apps that you can scan. (Probably not going to happen any time soon.) Plus, I don't believe that it will be that automated anytime while I have kids at home.

Earlier last year, I purchased the Coupon Magic Organizer. I have used the wallets for years and they were always aggravating. I wanted to SEE my coupons not fumble. I can organize them into groups much easier with the pockets and sleeves. I have a goal to really get systems that work to organize my home and life this year. Tania sent out a newsletter this week letting her previous purchasers know she had revamped and was offering a sale. Well, I asked if I could share this sale with you. She said, Yes!

Excerpt from newsletter:

It's been awhile since I sent out an email but I'm trying to start this year off on the right foot :) You previously subscribed to my mailing list for savings tips and to be notified of discounts. I hope your year is off to a good start and to help with any new year's savings resolutions, I wanted to offer you a discount off of the Coupon Magic Organizer Savings System.

There have been a few changes to my products so if you haven't checked out my website in a while, take a look here! In the past I sold my Savings System with zippered 3-ring binders. Problem is that I had to charge so much for shipping (package was about 4 pounds with the binder) that I felt I was not contributing to my true purpose of helping my customers save money. Therefore, in the spirit of helping others save money, I have decided to let my customers pick their own binder and save on the shipping cost. There are three different systems to pick depending on your budget and your couponing needs.

Do you have a resolution to save more money this year?

Launch of the Laina Turner iPhone app and blog tour – Win an iPad!!

If you have heard me say how much I like my iPhone, you've heard it a few times. I came across Laina on SocialMoms , or TwitterMoms by their new name. I don't have an iPad, yet, but watching apps that look interesting. Books are an intriguing option on a reader platform. All book, less bulk. I have done a little reading on my iPhone, its not bad with the right font size.

Below is the Press Release for Laina's App, it can be used on iPhone and iPod devices. I took the liberty of trying out the app. It is very organized and you can access the Chiczofrenia forum from the app. I created a user account and it is very much like other Ning Network sites I have accessed through my iPhone. I am interested to see what else this author has in store for this application.

The Laina Turner iPhone app let’s fans, read about the author, find where she’s appearing, read the blog, see video clips, and more.
The iPhone app gives Laina a platform for promoting and selling books, publicizing appearances, streaming podcasts or other content, and creating a brand.

Who am I?
It kind of depends on the day. I am a human compendium of unrelated things. I used to think I was just weird, had shiny ball syndrome and couldn’t focus, scattered, you name it. Then I decided it was OK to be all over the place as long as each avenue I wanted to explore had meaning and purpose or was fun. So I embrace the fact I am a college professor (Go Capella), a writer of fiction and non-fiction,
promoter of other authors, human resource professional, business consultant, and all around interesting person (according to my closest friends).

Stilettos and Scoundrels released March 2010

Stilettos & Scoundrels

Presley Thurman, a sassy, thirty-something red-head, was looking to reinvent herself. She didn’t allow the fact she was recently fired to bother her - she was ready to pursue her lifelong dream of becoming a writer. Not looking back on corporate America, Presley decided to follow her dream. When her friend Trevor offered her a job with his online magazine to interview public figures, she jumped at the chance.

However, the new job turned into som
ething unexpected when the U.S. Senator she was slated to write about was murdered - in her home town!

Presley was able to discover the Senator’s wife, Helen, had been having an affair… with her best friend’s boyfriend! Did Helen kill the Senator? Or was it the Senator’s  love of gambling that got him killed? And what was Cooper’s secret tie to the mob boss Garrison Palazzo?

Presley was betting her favorite pair of Manolo’s she will find the killer… but would time run out?

Chiczofrenia – Being Fabulous is a Skill released late fall 2010

Many of us women drive ourselves crazy, intentionally, by trying to be all we can be. I firmly believe we can have it all. A great relationship, be a great mom, keep a good house, be a career woman, follow our dreams, work out and eat right. But somewhere while trying to accomplish all this we tend to go a little nuts. Some more than others and some longer than others. I used to think I was normal.

Being a woman is difficult and is a constant journey and evolution of self discovery. It is not always an easy journey and through the process you realize everyone has their own issues. This book look at a journey of self discovery on what happens when the women you are and the women you want to be doesn’t always match.

As a strong woman who embraces your own kind of crazy, we’re inviting you to join Chiczofrenic movement at www.chiczofrenic.com. App Friday: iComm

When I got my iPhone I had no idea how I ever functioned without it. As I got to shopping apps I found that there were quite a few that were aimed at special needs issues. Being that some of these kids can not speak, I never realized how many issues there were that being non-verbal was a component. Please visit this site, check out the apps that so many wonderful people have created, not only for fun, but also for necessity.
They have a Free App Friday with a great variety of apps, you can also follow them on Twitter.

Welcome to App Friday, our weekly link exchange of family-friendly apps. Today we are featuring iComm from Mias Apps. The developer, Martin Brooks, made this app as a communication aid for his daughter Mia, and their story is no less than inspirational. iComm is an example of how apps developed for people with special needs can make a tremendous difference in daily life (and not just for those it’s intended – but for others as well)...Read more...

Well, I have been busy setting up my new iPhone.

I LOVE IT!! I have been following Flylady.net, it is an order, cleaning, personal improvement website. I found an app that some wonderful person created that uses the Zone principle with Daily, Weekly sections and the ability to add some things of your own. It is called Home Routines.

I have an app that is the Be Good! chart for my kids. They are getting into the habits I have been trying for a long time to get them to do.

Being the mom of 6 can be hectic, if not just utterly Chaotic. My husband calls it "Organized Chaos".

The igoogle app and Evernote are absolutely great apps, as well. If you are thinking about getting one of these phones, the organizational possibilites are endless.

All these apps are available from iTunes App Store, give a gift card as a gift.
