He who pursues righteousness and loyalty Finds life, righteousness and honor.

Are You Godly? Worldly?

The #1 Way to Change Your Fate is a post written by Susan Turton. she offers an email series called Miss Proverbs 31 Ministries.

This post caught my eye for the simple fact that so many people want to blame someone, anyone, but themselves. I screw up things at times, just a fact, "I'm not perfect!". I have to do what is necessary to make those changes. If I'm doing something to cause harm to another it is up to me to change that behavior. No one else can do that for me. Just me.

In life my greatest hope has been to be the person God intended me to be. He can't shape me, sculpt me or mold me if I don't follow His laws.

Read Susan's post and tell me what you think!

#Pray the Rosary for Peace

This is definitely something we can all do, with very little effort. I have mine in a small pouch in my purse. The pouch is small enough to fit in a man's pants pocket as well.

The Seven Sorrows of Mary

Michelangelo's Pieta

Feast of Our Lady of Sorrows September 15

The sorrows of Mary are chronicled in the following bible passages. As a mother I see the foreshadowing of the heartache.

If you want to do this devotion, I've listed them each and the corresponding bible verses. You can use a rosary to count your 7 Hail Mary prayers. If you have an iPod, iPad, iPhone, I recommend this app Marian Fathers of the Immaculate Conception

Making Your Life Plan

My prayer for quite sometime has been that I and my family have unity to God's Will. I have for a long time realized that God's way is the only road I need to be on.

I pray hourly, daily, monthly, that I am doing what He would want me to do. Ultimately the life goal is to meet the masters face and be in the protection of His love. So how do I do that? By being the person He created me to be. I can't be anyone else but me. Even in all my un-perfectness, as long as I do the best that I can to follow His commandments and stay on course, I'm doing His Will.

Personal Mission Statements

I decided this year to be more purposeful or intentional in my actions. I've always tried to be an intentional parent, even before it came into popularity. Interestingly, I found Inspired to Acton, which is for mothers. I've been impressed with how the Personal Mission Statement ebook is laid out and the prompts are amazing!

Spiritual Strength is the Only Muscle You Need

Spiritual Strength is something we all need, and I don't mean muscle. No matter how great or terrible your day, life, marriage, family, etc. appears to be, you need strength. It provides us the ability to do what is necessary. Lacking spiritual strength is only a prayer away. Why? Because we can't do it alone. God offers us His help, all we have to do is take it.

Saint Thomas Aquinas, Priest, Doctor

Saint Thomas Aquinas, Priest, Doctor (1225-1274) January 28th

St ThomaS Aquinas studied with the Benedictains from a young age, later he chose to become a Dominican. He studied under the great philosopher, St Albert the Great.

Aristoteleianism was causing chaos, St Thomas Aquinas proposed, "Truth can not contradict truth." He continued to study, teach, argue, until finally his simple, straightforward, commonsense philosophy brought an end to the controversy.

His greatest work "Summa Theolgiae" became a standard textbook and is still a valuable resource. His depth of learning brought about the poetic Liturgy of Corpus Christi. He had a vision during Mass that halted his writing, saying his work was like straw compared to what he saw.

May we all pray for the Holy Spirit to inspire us. May we know and love God with our minds and our hearts. Throughout the bible and to present, God has used people from many walks of life to teach His truths. Listen, pray and let God show us the truth, irregardless of where it comes from.

Remember

When you lie down on your bed, remember with thanksgiving the blessings and the providence of God.

1. My children are alive and well.
2. God loves me no matter how many times I messed up today. I will try harder tomorrow.
3. My husband still has a job.
4. I can still walk, even though the pain can be unbearable.
5. I have a home.

Thank You, Lord, for everything!

Your Loving Daughter
